Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and has been a part of SSC's Board of Directors since 2011, was the founding co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. Also, she was the producer and costume/set designer, composer/musician and text coach for SSC when she was the Artistic Director of SSC. While she would usually be the leader of her ensembles the first time she was directing was as part of SSC King Lear.
